The Fencing Confederation of Asia (FCA) is the umbrella organization of all national fencing associations in Asia. The FCA is recognized by the Federation Internationale D’Escrime and the Olympic Council of Asia as the governing body for the sport of fencing in Asia.
As much as practicable, FCA member national fencing associations meet annually in General Assembly/Congress. The General Assembly/Congress held during the Olympic year coincides with the election of Officers and Executive Committee members of the AFC for the ensuing four-year term.
The FCA organizes the Asian Fencing Championships, the Asian Juniors & Cadet Fencing Championships and other such activities to promote and develop the sport of fencing in Asia. In coordination with the International Fencing Federation, the FCA also sanctions all other fencing competitions and activities organized in Asia such as the World Championships, World Cup, Category A and Grand Prix competitions, as well as the Coaches and Referees’ Seminar and Examination. In coordination with the Olympic Council of Asia and the FIE, the FCA also sanctions the fencing competitions in the Asian Games.
